The Board of Trustees of Automobiles And Road Safety Initiative having staged its practical road safety activities across many states of the country as well as the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja; as par its engagement with relevant stakeholders; including the Nigerian Auto Repair/Maintenance Technicians thereof discovered areas of challenges as posed by the aging outgoing generation of Nigerian Automotive Technicians and took it upon itself to mold young, upcoming, more literate technicians to fill the gap that might be created if nothing positive is done to arrest the situation.

The Board of Trustees however officially pronounced its establishment of the West Africa Automotive Institute on 14th December, 2022 at the Sheraton Hotel, Lagos during its First Annual Nigeria Automotive Industry Awards & Launch of Infrastructure for the Institute; which the Proprietors believe will enhance the competencies of technical manpower for the motoring market, for motor manufacturers, users and dealers in automobile products.
