Purpose behind the establishment
The main purpose behind the establishment of West Africa Automotive Institute is to initiate first, a nationwide and in the medium-term, a West Africa sub-regional force with the objective of providing training and skill development to the youth of our sub-region covering each and every village, city and to empower all individuals through improved skills, knowledge and employment opportunities

The West Africa Automotive Institute will be an upscale shop specializing in a combination of top-notch competency solutions.
Mission
To be a one-stop shop for quality automotive training in the West Africa sub-region; training students to enrich their lives with the most qualitative learning in this chosen field.
To give every student the best knowledge upgrade and empowerment that is targeted at helping them increase their income; and advance their career.
To support access to quality automobile maintenance and servicing through the establishment of bridges that would facilitate increased trust, communication, and collaboration between trainees, high net-worth individuals and client institutions
Objective
To diversify skills development programmes to meet the changing requirements, particularly of emerging knowledge economy; as the institute builds true market place competencies rather than mere qualifications.
Predominantly, the Institute will:
- Bridge the gap for employment generation
- Enhance competitiveness of Nigerian (and West Africa) Automotive Business
- Prepare the youth of the West Africa sub region as a manpower resource for World Markets
- Diversify skills development programmes to meet the changing requirements, particularly of emerging knowledge economy
- Ensure quality and relevance of training
- Build true market place competencies rather than mere qualifications.
Proposed Campus
The West Africa Automotive Institute’s permanent Campus is designed for a serene area of Ilesa; a fast growing cosmopolitan city in Osun State, South-West, Nigeria. Ilesa is located in Osun East Senatorial District; a district that comprises of Atakunmosa East, Atakunmosa West, Ife Central, Ife East, Ife North, Ife South, Ilesa East, Ilesa West, Obokun, and Oriade Local Government Areas. The other two senatorial districts in Osun State are: Osun Central Senatorial District; comprising of the entire geographical areas of Boluwaduro, Boripe, Ifedayo, Ifelodun, Ila, Irepodun, Odo-Otin, Olorunda, Orolu and Osogbo Local Government Areas. Osun West Senatorial District; comprising of the entire geographical areas of Ayedade, Ayedire, Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, Ejigbo, Irewole, Isokan, Iwo and Ola-Oluwa Local Government Areas.Linking with Ilesa from border towns/cities: There are 2 major roads linking Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital to Ilesa. And whichever of the roads one travels, it takes less than 43.33 minutes to get to Ilesa metropolis. The travel distance (65 km) between Akure, the capital of Ondo State and Ilesa can be covered in about 1 hour. While travel distance (58.50 km) between Ondo Township and Ilesa; driving through Ile-Oluji in Ondo State via Ipetu-Ijesa, Osun State to Ilesa can be covered in less than an hour. It takes a traveler driving from Ile-Ife to Ilesa (32 km) about 30 minutes. And driving distance (25 km) from Osogbo, the Osun State capital to Ilesa; takes about 24 minutes to cruise. West Africa Automotive Institute; a trail-blazer initiative has its Lagos office at Block 1, Mechanics Village, Ilasamaja, Mushin LGA, Lagos, Nigeria; where it presently operates; while developing the permanent site.
